Partner
Teun is a partner at Brinkhof, and primarily focuses on drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts. His particular expertise is in IT agreements, including sourcing agreements, software licensing agreements and SaaS agreements. Teun also has extensive expertise in intellectual property (IP) agreements, such as assignment agreements, licensing agreements, R&D agreements, material transfer agreements (MTA), and joint development agreements. He also has experience in dealing with distribution and agency agreements, software audits, in handling commercial disputes, and in advising in M&A transactions, in which IT and IP play a crucial role.

Teun frequently advises on IT and sourcing transactions, including private tenders as well as tendering procedures. His clients come from a variety of sectors, including finance, energy, retail and TMT. As Teun provides assistance to both buyers and suppliers, he has a comprehensive understanding of the interests and perspectives that arise on both sides of the table.

Teun gives guest lectures at Nyenrode Business University and is a lecturer for Sourcing Nederland. He is a member of the Netherlands Association for Computer Lawyers (VIRA), the Netherlands Association for Information Technology and Law (NVvIR), and the Association for Distribution, Franchise and Agency Law (Vereniging DFA). Teun joined Brinkhof in 2018 and became a partner in 2023. Prior to that, he worked at DLA Piper in Amsterdam. In 2017, Teun completed the postgraduate course in Information Law at the Grotius Academy cum laude.
