Ravi Sheombar

Ravi has been a lawyer at Brinkhof since 2026 and is part of the Media and Platforms team. He advises and litigates on media and platform law, copyright law, and legal issues relating to digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI). He also has experience in privacy and data protection law, commercial disputes, and collective actions.
Experience & education
Before joining Brinkhof, Ravi worked as a lawyer at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek for three and a half years. There, he gained experience across several practice areas, including IP & Tech, Privacy & Data Protection, and Commercial Litigation. He worked on complex, often international matters involving technology and privacy.
Ravi obtained his master’s degree in Law & Technology cum laude from Tilburg University. During his studies, he spent a semester at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, United States. He also gained experience at the European Commission and completed an internship at Brinkhof. As part of his master’s programme, Ravi was nominated for the IAPP Westin Scholar Award, an international distinction for promising students in the field of privacy and data protection.
