Partner

Wieke is a partner at Brinkhof and specialises in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, with a particular focus on software and IT-related agreements, including sourcing, SaaS, DevOps, and cloud. She also has expertise in IP and advises clients in areas such as licensing agreements, R&D contracts and joint development agreements. Wieke also handles IT disputes.

Wieke regularly assists clients in a variety of sourcing, IT and IP projects. Her role entails representing both buyers and suppliers. The majority of Wieke’s clients are active in the financial, TMT and energy sectors.

Experience & ancillary activities

Wieke regularly gives lectures and courses in her specialist field to lawyers and in-house counsel alike. She completed the postgraduate course in National and International Contracting at the Grotius Academy in 2007 and has been a lecturer on the Grotius course in IT, data & law(Outsourcing section) since 2016.

Wieke joined Brinkhof as a partner in 2015. Prior to that, she held a position as counsel at Freshfields in Amsterdam. During her tenure there, she set up and led the IT and sourcing practice, after initially working at the Frankfurt office for six months. Wieke graduated from Utrecht University in 1998 and was admitted to the Dutch bar the same year.
