Teun Burgers (admitted to the Bar in 2010) specialises in contract and information technology law.
Teun advises on and negotiates a broad range of commercial contracts, with special expertise in software and IT (sourcing, licensing, SaaS, distribution, e-commerce etc.). He acts for both suppliers and customers. He has experience in dealing with IT disputes (in mediation, arbitration and regular courts) and with M&A transactions in the IT industry.
Teun is a member of the Association for Information Technology Lawyers (VIRA) and the Dutch Association for Information Technology and Law (NVvIR).
Prior to joining Brinkhof in January 2018 Teun worked for an international law firm. He also has in-house experience having been seconded to a telecommunications provider, a FMCG company and a software company.
Teun obtained a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Utrecht and graduated from the VU Amsterdam cum laude (Master ‘Internet, intellectual property and ICT’). In 2017 he concluded the post-academic Grotius Academy Information Technology Law programme cum laude.
