Fleur Westenend (admitted to the bar in 2022) works as a lawyer in the area of competition law, European law and regulated industries.

Fleur completed two Master’s degrees with honour. In 2020 she graduated from Utrecht University with an L.L.M. in Private Law, focussing on Intellectual Property Law, and in 2022 she obtained an L.L.M. in European Business Law at Lund’s University in Sweden. For her Dutch thesis, on the subject of the application of the technical effect-restriction in design law and trademark law, she received the MARQUES Lewis Gaze Memorial Scholarship award. She wrote her Swedish thesis on the assessment of the European Super League in light of EU competition law.

Throughout her second year in Lund, Fleur participated in the European Law Moot Court, an international competition. Following a regonal pleading round in Barcelona and the finals at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg, she – together with her team – received the first prize.

During her studies, Fleur worked at the District Court in Utrecht and spent a semester at the University of Uppsala in Sweden.
