Fleur Westenend publishes in the European Competition Law Review
Fleur Westenend, together with Julian Nowag, wrote an article for the European Competition Law Review. This article looks at the current state of play in EU sports competition law and focusses on the opinions delivered by AG Rantos in the cases International Skating Union and European Super League.
While the opinions of AG Rantos are thorough and provide a welcomed analysis of the relationship between sports and competition law, the ball is now in the court of the Court of Justice. The article mentions five challenges that the Court will have to face when considering whether to follow the paths suggested by AG Rantos.
