Maarten Groeneveld is mainly active in the field of national and European patent law.

Maarten did a student internship at Brinkhof in 2022, after which he joined the firm. He graduated in July 2021 with a 4.0 GPA from the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam with a master’s degree in Internet, Intellectual Property and ICT. He wrote his master’s thesis on obtaining a supplementary protection certificate on a second medical indication patent after the verdict of the European Court of Justice in Santen SAS v Directeur général de l’institut national de la propriété industrielle.

During his master’s programme, Maarten worked as a legal advisor for Clinic Law Incubator. Within this organisation he advised start-ups and individuals on legal issues in the field of Intellectual Property law.
