Jonathan is a lawyer at Brinkhof who advises and litigates mainly in Dutch and European patent law.
High-tech and technology patents
Jonathan enjoys tackling the technical and legal challenges that arise when handling complex litigation involving intricate technical issues. He mainly advises and litigates on high-tech and technology patents, particularly in the field of standardised telecommunications technology, IT systems and computer software.
Experience & ancillary activities
After completing his Bachelor’s in Law & ICT at the University of Groningen, Jonathan completed his Master’s in Dutch Law cum laude at the same university in 2018, specialising in intellectual property law. He joined Brinkhof as a lawyer immediately thereafter. Nowadays, Jonathan regularly teaches patent law. He has also been an active participant in moot court competitions since the beginning of his studies, and notably achieved victory in the Young EPLAW Moot Court in 2021.
