Carlijn wrote her Master’s thesis on the impact of copyright harmonisation on the interface between design law, and copyright law in the European Union.

Experience & ancillary activities

Carlijn graduated cum laude from the University of Amsterdam in 2022, obtaining a Master’s in Information Law. During her studies, she actively participated in a moot society and engaged in various moot court competitions. Carlijn further expanded her knowledge by spending a semester at Cornell Law School in the United States, focusing on US intellectual property law. Prior to joining Brinkhof in 2022, Carlijn had been actively involved with the firm as a working student since 2020. She is also a member of the Benelux Association for Trademark and Design Law (BMM).
