Sophie ten Bosch (admitted to the bar in 2017) litigates and advises in the field of media, contract, information and internet law.

She has represented multinationals in civil court in litigation on the online publication of infringing content and during a class action on cybersecurity responsibilities. Her advisory experience covers several matters of information law, including copyrights, trade secrets and database rights and commercial contracts in this regard. She has also advised on regulatory, IT and IP related issues during the acquisition of several tech and internet companies.

She is also experienced in legal aspects of renewable energy projects and has advised different stakeholders during the development of several wind farms in the Netherlands.

Sophie graduated in 2017 from the University of Amsterdam, where she completed her Master’s degree specialising in Information Law. She wrote her Master’s thesis on the responsibility of online platforms in relation to consumer reviews.

During her studies, Sophie worked for a number of law firms and as a consultant for e-commerce start-ups in Asia. She also worked as a legal adviser for Clinic Law Incubator, where she advised individuals and start-ups on legal issues concerning intellectual property law, information law and privacy.

Prior to joining Brinkhof in February 2020 Sophie worked at Allen & Overy in Amsterdam.
