Julian Eck (admitted to the Bar in 2017) is mainly active in the areas of national and European patent law.
After an internship at Brinkhof in the summer of 2016, Julian started working for Brinkhof in December 2016. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Law & ICT at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. In 2016, he obtained his Master in Information Law with honours (cum laude) at the University of Amsterdam. For his master’s thesis, he did research on the impact of the Dutch Authors’ Contracts Act on contractual negotiations of freelance software engineers.
During his bachelor and his master, Julian worked as a legal advisor at different law clinics. Here, he provided individuals and startups with free legal advice. In 2015, Julian worked as an intern at the litigation and regulatory practice of a larger Amsterdam law firm.
