Publishers rights: something for the competition authority?
This month’s legal journal Mediaforum contains an article by Pepijn van Ginneken about the battle between the digital platforms of Big Tech and publishers. The well-known steps of assessment under competition law seem more efficient than newly created IP rights to assess the economic relations, responsibilities of market parties and (when appropriate) a price analysis for the relevant services.
