Brinkhof appoints three new partners and two counsels

Brinkhof is proud to announce the appointment as of 1 January 2021 of three new partners, Dorien Verhulst, Jan Pot and Rien Broekstra and of two new counsels, Anke Strijbos and Teun Burgers.

Dorien Verhulst specialises in information law, with a focus on online platform regulation, access to data and reputation management. Jan Pot and Rien Broekstra both litigate in complex patent disputes, nationally and internationally. Jan is also an attorney at the Supreme Court and represents clients in cassation in intellectual property and information law cases. With Jan and Rien’s appointment, Brinkhof strengthens its leading position in complex patent litigation, while with Jan adding in-house cassation expertise to its portfolio. Dorien strengthens Brinkhof’s rapidly growing practice supporting online platforms and businesses operating in the data economy. Anke Strijbos adds expert knowledge in the area of collective (music)rights, software disputes, privacy law and platform liability. Teun Burgers advises and negotiates commercial contracts, with a focus on software and IT.
